DeLuna Ink Appointment FAQ

  • DeLuna Ink is a fine line tattoo studio based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, serving clients from Jacksonville, the Jacksonville Beaches, St. Augustine, and throughout Northeast Florida.

  • DeLuna Ink operates by appointment only.

All consultations, design conversations, and placement details are handled digitally prior to your appointment to keep the experience smooth, efficient, and focused.

This allows us to provide a thoughtful, personalized experience for every client and ensure each tattoo receives the time and care it deserves.

  • All appointments are requested online through our booking link on GlossGenius.

Once you submit a request, we’ll reach out via text to review your idea, provide a quote, and set timing expectations.

Your appointment is not considered confirmed until this step is complete and your deposit has been accepted.

  • Not yet. Submitting a booking request temporarily holds your spot. Once we connect via text to confirm details, pricing, and timing, we’ll accept your deposit and officially confirm your appointment in our system.

  • A $50 non-refundable deposit is required to secure your appointment.

The deposit is applied toward your final tattoo total once your appointment is confirmed.

  • Appointments canceled within 48 hours of the scheduled time are subject to a 50% charge of the tattoo total.

Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will be charged 100% of the tattoo total.

This policy exists because your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.

  • Design details, placement, and sizing are coordinated via text ahead of time. Minor adjustments can often be made the day of your appointment when time allows.

Larger changes may require rescheduling to ensure the best result and proper timing.

  • Please arrive on time and well rested.

A valid government-issued photo ID and completed consent forms are required before we begin.

Once you arrive, we’ll show you multiple sizes of your design and work on placement together. When you are 100% happy with placement, we’ll start the tattooing process.

Fresh and healed photos may be taken for portfolio and educational use. This helps show realistic results and set clear expectations for future clients.

  • To maintain a calm, focused studio environment, we ask that clients attend appointments alone unless prior arrangements are made.

Nobody in the studio may be under the age of 18 due to insurance and liability concerns.

  • No. DeLuna Ink tattoos 18 and older only, with valid government-issued ID required.

Fine Line Tattoo FAQ

  • Fine line tattoos use single or very small needle groupings to create delicate, precise designs with minimal line weight. This style is known for its soft, elegant, dainty appearance and refined detail.

  • When designed properly and placed thoughtfully, fine line tattoos can age beautifully.

We account for skin type, placement, line spacing, and long-term wear when designing each piece to ensure longevity.

We also offer touch ups as part of the fine line tattooing process in order to ensure the integrity of your tattoo long term.

  • Fine line tattoos heal differently than bold or traditional styles. Some softening or light fading during healing is normal and expected.

Healing plays a major role in the final result.

  • Yes, but there are limits. Designs must meet a minimum size to heal and age properly.

We may recommend slight adjustments to ensure clarity and longevity.

  • Yes. All tattoos at DeLuna Ink are custom-designed for each client. Any reference images and inspiration are welcome to help define your vision to our artists during the design phase.

  • We specialize in fine line black and grey tattoos, including botanicals, florals, minimal designs, micro-realism, and soft illustrative work.

Hand & Finger Tattoos
FAQ

Finger and hand tattoos are some of our favorite adornments - they’re basically permanent jewelry - beautiful, expressive, and highly visible.

BUT they also require special consideration due to how the skin in these areas heals and wears over time. This guide is meant to help you make an informed, confident decision before you book hand & finger tattoos with us!

  • Finger and hand tattoos are permanent, but they are also high-wear areas. Because the skin on the hands and fingers regenerates more quickly and is exposed to frequent movement, washing, skincare products (think skincare actives like Retinols, etc.) and sun, these tattoos are more prone to fading over time compared to other placements.

  • Yes. Fading is common and expected with finger and hand tattoos. This does not mean the tattoo was done incorrectly… it’s a result of the skin’s natural behavior in these areas.

Fine line work on fingers and hands may soften or lighten more noticeably as it heals and ages.

  • Not really, but it varies by person! Pain levels vary by individual, but fingers and hands could tend to be more sensitive due to thinner skin and proximity to bone or nail bed. Most clients describe the sensation as sharp but brief.

  • It depends. Many first-time clients choose finger tattoos and have a positive experience, especially as long as they set proper expectations.

We take extra care to explain healing, longevity, and placement considerations so you can decide what feels right for you.

  • Most likely, yes. Touch-ups are more common for finger and hand tattoos due to natural fading.

We consider touch-ups part of the fine line tattooing process, but multiple touch-ups may be needed over time depending on placement, skin type, and aftercare.

Each touch up appointment is $25 within the first 6 months of the tattoo. After the 6 months the touch up cost may be subject to change depending on how much wear and fading the tattoo has seen over time.

  • Healing can be unpredictable. Some areas may heal lighter, patchy, or softer than expected. This is normal for hands and fingers due to the wear, washing, and exposure of this placement and not considered a flaw.

Aftercare is especially important for these placements, including minimizing water exposure, friction, and sun during healing.

  • Yes. Extremely small, ultra-delicate designs may not be suitable for long-term wear on fingers or hands. We may recommend adjustments to size, line weight, or placement to help the tattoo heal and age better.

Not all designs translate well to these areas. During the booking process, we’ll review your idea and let you know if changes are recommended to ensure the best possible result.

  • Before booking, consider:

    • Visibility and professional implications

    • Long-term aging and fading

    • Willingness to maintain the tattoo over time

    • Comfort with possible/multiple touch-ups

Our goal is to support you in making an intentional choice that you’ll feel good about long term.

Finger and hand tattoos can be beautiful when approached thoughtfully. Clear expectations, proper design, and consistent aftercare all play a role in how these tattoos heal and age.

If you’re unsure, we’re always happy to talk through options before you book.
