Process

At DeLuna Ink, the tattoo experience is designed to feel intentional, supported, and clear from the very beginning. Every piece is treated as a collaboration, with time built in for thoughtful design, careful execution, and a calm studio environment.

This page walks through what to expect from our fine line specialty and booking to pricing and touch-ups.

Our Specialty: Fine Line Tattoos

DeLuna Ink specializes in tiny, delicate fine line tattoos. While these pieces are often small in size, they require an exceptional level of precision, control, and technical expertise.

Fine line tattooing is a highly specialized craft. The tools, technique, and experience required are comparable to precision-based beauty services such as nails, hair, Botox, or filler — where the cost reflects training, accuracy, and consistency. Unlike those services, however, tattoos are permanent. A well-executed fine line tattoo is designed to heal beautifully and last for years, making it a long-term investment rather than a recurring appointment.

Because of the level of detail involved, our fine line work is priced accordingly, even at smaller sizes.

Booking & Design Process

All appointments are requested through the studio’s booking system.

Once an appointment request is submitted, the studio will reach out via text to review the idea, confirm placement and sizing, provide a quote, and recommend the appropriate session length. This information is included in the deposit invoice so expectations are clear before any payment is processed.

Design details and placement are coordinated ahead of the appointment. This allows clients to arrive feeling confident and prepared, and helps ensure appointments run smoothly. Significant changes on the day of the appointment may require rescheduling.

Pricing

Tattoos at DeLuna Ink are priced by the piece, not by the hour. A clear quote is provided in the deposit invoice so there are no surprises on the day of the appointment.

Pricing is based on size, level of detail, placement, and whether the design is custom. While time is a factor, it is not the only consideration. As an illustration-based studio, a meaningful portion of the work happens during the design process, and that creative time is reflected in pricing.
